...is one of two questions in our end of year quick pulse survey, if you have a few minutes to spare, please log onto the sli,do website, https://www.sli.do , enter code 3123 next to the hash tag and let us know.
My biggest challenge for 2017 was to completely change my working life, after a lifetime in credit management and a 10 year role within a large organisation, I knew that if I wanted to avoid complacency and to continue to grow, I had to make some changes. I am a great believer in fate and as soon as I had made up my mind, I heard about this role, went for it and here I am. It has been challenging but also fun and exciting and I certainly wouldn't look back.
The scope for the role and our forum itself is enormous, so what about my challenges for 2018?
My problem is I have a lot more than 3!
In the main and as Forum Manager for SSF UK, my main challenge is to ensure that you, our members, have a community that works for you, we deliver on the current topics of interest, we lead on thought leadership, we supply information on current and new legislation, we look to the future, we grow the membership and ensure our events are relevant and worth taking time out of your busy schedule for. We have a website which is interactive and a 'one stop shop' for all information, discussions are lively and questions answered to your satisfaction and most of all...that we keep on sharing.
Phew, no pressure there then! Oh and if all this, (and a lot more) isn't enough, as I am new to the world of Shared Service, I will be embarking on a course shortly to find out all about it. I will be taking the Certificate in Global Business Services from The Hackett Group. I did the test and came out at this level so I will let you all know how I get on...https://www.thehackettgroup.co...
So, please let us know your challenges, faced and overcome or still to conquer, we would love to hear them and with the expertise within our community, I am sure there are others who have faced similar challenges and will be able to help.
The second question in the survey...
What is your top priority for 2018?
My priority? Making sure we deliver on all!
Good Luck!
