DAC Beachcroft would like to invite you to join their first discussion session in their ‘Wellbeing’ series exploring the new world of work. The first session takes place on Tuesday, 29th March and will cover managing stress and mental health in the post-pandemic workplace.
This session will be exploring the Covid legacy and its implications for our mental health and wellbeing at work. In this session they will be joined by guest speaker Maria Mander Health and Wellbeing Specialist from Skills for Growth SME Support and will look at the following issues:
Part One – the legal framework
· How the employee wellbeing agenda fits with regulatory requirements and HSE enforcement.
· The challenges, opportunities and risks for wellbeing created by hybrid working, working from home and our increased reliance on technology.
Part Two – practical steps
· Steps companies can take to address the mental health and wellbeing issues that have emerged from the pandemic.
· How to approach your work related stress risk assessment.
· What employers can do to manage the lasting effects of the pandemic on mental health and wellbeing – from long Covid and post-pandemic stress disorder to “fear of normal”.
They will be discussing these issues both legally and practically, sharing experiences of the steps employers are taking.
Maria Mander will be joined by session host Deborah Hely, a DAC Beachcroft partner in our Manchester office who specialises in employment law and, Michelle Corrigan and Rhian Greaves, senior lawyers in their Manchester office specialising in employment law and health and safety.
