It was another informative and engaging session for the online SSF UK Order to Cash Network Event!
The scene was set with an overview of the declining economic situation both domestically and globally. Members shared their experiences of this changing landscape and their action planning though a series of sli.do questions and interactive break out discussions.
The first session focussed on how best practice can mitigate the risk in the current financial environment & the changing polices adopted by membership businesses. There was also discussion on the benefits of digital solutions to support OTC processes and members shared their journeys on the digital path to date.
The second session focussed on the new challenges to customer collections; how their businesses are managing the increased risk, supporting customers, and how OTC teams are responding to the demands of the business for improved cash collection. We had an intriguing discussion on the increasing popularity of web portals for receiving billing, and the impact that can have on cash collection performance.
We had a fascinating member contribution from Andrew Atkinson and Richard Chaplow from EQUANS who gave us an update of their business evolution, and their planning to implement & drive best practice process change.
