Last week we held our second Payroll network event, but our first online Payroll network event. Michelle Goodwin and Helen Dibb facilitated a great session which focused on:
- What challenges are you facing now your teams are working from home?
- How is your organisation dealing with requests to purchase equipment for home working?
- Do you think this will change the way you work going forward?
The session kicked off with a live Sli.do poll. The first question asked how useful was the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professional (CIPP) legislation update that took place that morning and it was great to see such a positive response. Members thought the session was extremely informative with a lot of detail on the legislation update, which included SSP reform, economic support and student loans.

When discussing what aspects of working from home have been most challenging for you and your team, this brought up varied discussion topics, including printing, an increase in emails and calls, equipment, communication and motivation. When asked about the positives of working from home, it was interesting to see "a better work, life balance" as one of the most popular answers.
The session then focused on what will change in the workplace will change as a result of the current lockdown. Processes remaining paperless was again a popular answer as organisations have had to adapt, will there be less people going into the office going forward and will more flexible working will be encouraged?

We look forward to seeing you online!!!
