It was great to catch up with our members today for the next Purchase to Pay network event over at Esker in Derby.
Network Chairs Lyndsey Byrne and Andy Powell kicked off the morning with an interactive session exploring the first 'P' in P2P. We discussed in small groups the provision of a purchasing/sourcing service to internal
customers and the integration into the P2P end to end value chain. It was fantastic opportunity for members to share challenges, experiences, lessons learnt and what worked well.
Next we heard from Dan Weston and Kady Robinson, Business Development Manager's from Esker shared how practical insights and examples on how AI-driven automation can help address and solve key challenges commonly experienced within the procurement process and how can this enable the teams to drive success. It was great introduction to Esker and provided lots of takeaways for members.
After a fabulous networking lunch we welcomed Tracie Bennett, Accounts Payable Manager at M Group who shared the journey of restructuring their team processes and their approach to hybrid working. It was great to hear all the outcomes they’re planning for, how they’ve done it and what they’ve learnt along the way.
We completed the day with some interactive breakout sessions to share different team structures across our member organisations. It was great to hear all the different conversations, as members shared their strengths and weaknesses within their teams, what the alternatives could look like and what you would do differently.
Thank you to everyone that took the time to join us today, thank you to our Network Co-Chairs Lyndsey and Andy, thank you to Tracie for a really insightful member contribution and a huge thank you to Dan and Kady and the team at Esker for supporting and hosting us today.
The last Purchase to Pay network event of 2024 will be taking place on day 1 of the annual conference and we lok forward to sharing details on the agenda with you soon.
