We would like to welcome Wellbeing GP Helen Garr to our Leaders event on the 18th of September 2019 at Hotel Football, Old Trafford.
Dr Helen Garr is a GP and wellbeing expert, passionate about promoting wellbeing and happiness and tackling burnout and stress in the workplace and at home.
Dr Garr works as a GP at Nottingham University Health Centre, the largest health centre in England with over 45,000 patients, and leads their successful wellbeing strategy.
She is a Clinical Lead for the National GP Health service, a confidential service supporting doctors with mental health problems and burnout, Regional Director of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine and Public Health England Clinical Champion for Physical Activity. With a background in psychology, Dr Garr utilises this interest to underpin her work as a coach and mentor. She is a recognised leader in the field of health care professional wellbeing, delivering excellently received national key note speeches and wellbeing workshops.
She is also Nottinghamshire Local Medical Committee Wellbeing lead and sits on the Royal College GP National wellbeing working group and British Medical Association wellbeing stakeholders committee.
Working full time with two children, a husband and a chocolate Labrador called Eileen she fully understands the challenges we face in maintaining our wellbeing.
