One of the questions I was asked this week...it was easy to answer and the reason? I had spent the previous day sat round a table with the SSF UK Board of Directors, our Events Manager and some of our Network Chairs planning our conference in October.
Our people! The drive, passion, energy and dedication shown time and time again by people committed to the success of the SSF UK forum is awe inspiring. It starts with the dedicated commitment from the board and moves on to the Network Chairs. People who give up their time voluntarily because they believe passionately in the values of the forum.
SSF UK allows the opportunity for members to come together in a safe environment and talk about challenges they face, knowledge and experience they want to share and learn from each other. Where else would you be able to do this if the forum didn't exist?
Thankfully it does and we are delighted to welcome four new members over June and July, First Group plc, Premier Foods, Samworth Bros. and Seqirus.
John Murphy is the leader for First Group plc and moved from Yorkshire Water earlier this year to head up the Shared Services Centre for First Group. Cath Crompton moved from Kier to take up the position of Head of AR and Commercial at Premier Foods and Shaun Galloway, Business Services Director for Samworth Bros. and Helen Gearing, CFO and David Fraser from Seqirus all join as new to the forum.
Welcome all. You may have seen our #mysharedservicesStory/new member welcome articles for both Cath and John, if not, please scroll down the news items, as always, they make fascinating reading.
Further news on conference will follow as we turn our plans into reality - Don't forget, each leader from our member organisations has 5 delegate passes for conference - we hope you can make the most of this as you will not want to miss it!
Until next week, have a great weekend everyone and as always, please get in touch if you have anything you would like to share.
Warm regards
Sharon
